Collaboration for Ben

Ben of Faith and Theology found my blog by searching for blog design help. His design was a challenge since he wanted something simple but lively. We worked out a design that he loves and that I am proud of.

Other blogs I have collaborated with are listed here.

Last Day of the August Happiness Challenge

Big Orange Michael has brought me much happiness this month with his challenge. It was a good reminder of the good things in my life. Since it was not as hard as I figured to come up with something for everyday, I know I have a good life. Plus it is fun being sappy! Surpy sweet! Like honey! And to have an excuse.

Thanks Michael and I know I will be ready for next August!

I think one last thing that’d make me happy..the two UTs playing for it all in the Sugar Bowl.

And mine winning…(Of course)

(A Military Mom on Aug 30, 2005 7:35 AM) I love to hear my grandson’s take on heaven.
He is full of question anymore when it comes to going to heaven and death. I think it is because his uncle is in Iraq and he must pick up on things that he sees on tv and that are said.

(letti on Aug 30, 2005 10:29 AM) a friend of mine, who has a 4 year old grand-daughter was talking to her about Jesus the other day and it was amusing to hear how literally little kids can take things some times. They were talking about baptism and her grandaughter said “when we are baptised, jesus’ bones come and move inside of me”…what she was meaning was that when we are baptised, Jesus and the holy spirit lives in us and help us go through everyday in thought, spirit and actions..how cute.

(Becky on Aug 30, 2005 8:26 PM) It never ceases to amaze me what will come out of kids’ mouths.

Crawford

On our drive to and from work in Dallas, my husband and I listen to Conservative Talk Radio. Both the morning and afternoon show got together and invited the listeners to go and show their support for Bush. Both my anti-MIL and I wanted to go, but we had prior commitments and/or things that had to be done. I think we both kinda feel guilty for not going. Or at least I do.

The media is running stories on this weekend, but it seems like they are downplaying it.

The Ankarlo Morning Show has pictures on his website and a podcast of his interview with a guy who is a Camp Casey infiltrator.

Greg Knapp had Deborah Johns from the “You Don’t Speak For Me, Cindy” tour with Move America Forward.com We listened to her on Friday and found out Casey’s Uncle had called her and said they do not support Cindy.

This post covers my August Happines Challenge post for today. I am very happy that everyone was able to show their support no matter what side they are on. And I am even more happy that there were more Bush supporters out there than the anti-war protesters.

Dude! Your getting a Dell!

Taking advantage of a great special at Dell ($299) and a nice bonus from work, the girls now have their own computers. Yes, we are now offically a family of geeks with to many computers. Our ratio of people to computers is 1 to 1.5. The girls are very good on the computers, they know how to scroll a web page and find links to games on kid friendly sites. The oldest can even make rainbow colored words in Microsoft Word. Can you imagine having a computer at 4 years old?

When the computers came in my husband took some pictures. The girls were very excited so the pictures are not the best. But they made me laugh.

See the extended entry for the pictures.

(Pauly D on Aug 28, 2005 8:10 PM) Great new URL. Congrats. Do we get you a cake or something?

(Amy on Aug 28, 2005 9:08 PM) I am still waiting for the free downloadable Pauly-D iron on….

(Becky on Aug 29, 2005 9:17 PM) What a great deal. I remember even as late as high school, I had to print my papers out on a dot-matrix printer. Times sure have changed.

MuNuvian? Really?

You have probably seen some blogs with mu.nu at the end.  You may even have them on your blog roll.  But do you know what mu.nu is?  You can find the official explanation here, but I am going to give you mine.

Some guy who really likes blogging and is just a nice offers free blog hosting by invitation only.  Most people are nominated by other Munuvians and then once they receive a certain number of “Yay’s”, they are in.  Other than that, I am still learning.  I also know that there are some very cool blogs on mu.nu, some which I have “collaborated” with.

Last week I started looking into other services besides Blog-City since they are restrictive when it come to blog design.  Blog-City is perfect for someone who does not want to mess with the complications of CSS, Style Sheets, and templates.  But I am beyond that.  I know enough to know what Blog-city can’t do, so I wanted to move on.  But what about all my stuff that is here?  I have worked a long time to get my blog where it is and put in alot of entries.  So I asked Sissy, Bou, and VW about their moves and what they thought about it.  The convinced me to make the move.  So then I began my research into other blog hosts, blogging software, and rates.  Then I get a very pleasant surprise….

Sissy nominated me to become a Munuvian.  What an honor!  And I got enough “Yays”!!!!   Yipeee!!!!  I have started moving in already, but will be taking it slow since there is not an easy way to move my old entries over.  I really want to have everything in one place and it will be worth the effort to get it there.

Please update your links, blogrolls, and/or your RSS readers.  My new blog home is http://procheinamy.mu.nu.  So come check out my new digs!!!

New Home

When we bought our house, we still had a month left on our rent house. So we had more time to move everything while living in the new place. We would go back to the old place to get stuff and move it on over. This is what I am doing now.

My new home is at mu.nu. So for awhile there will be boxes around here and links back to the old blog. Eventually I will move all in, but it is nice to have the luxury of moving slow…

And since the Football season is very close, this blog is renamed to “Texas Football Novice” with a very burnt orange Texas theme! Hook ‘em!!!
