One Seasoning to Flavor Them All
We found a seasoning called Montreal Steak that is wonderful. It is made by McCormick under thier Grill Mates line. But don’t let the name steak lead you down a simple steak seasoning path. Oh no – this stuff is good on chicken, pork chops, brocolli, other vegetable of your choice, roast, stews, hamburgers, or mixed in with flour to coat fried meats. So if you like pepper, salt, garlic and a little paparika, then this seasoning is for you. No more mixing it yourself, just dash it on to your hearts desire. Yum!
(I am not getting any kick backs from this post, but a year lifetime supply would be nice! Hint hint McCormick people!)

Woooohoooo!
“Woooohoooo” is the word for today. I heard it many times from my 5 and 6 year old before, after, and during rides at Six Flags Over Texas. To keep away from the crowds and to help with the short attention span of the girls, we took a vacation day today. We got there when they opened and the lines were short or fast moving. Our first ride was the “LA VIBORA”. On Six Flags website it is decribed as shooting passengers twisting through freewheeling, fast-moving bobsled thrills.
OH! MY! Youngest, the 5 year old, LOVED IT! She was behind me and I could hear her laughter and giggles. This child is wild!!! My six year old enjoyed it and both decided later it was their favorite ride.
The both enjoyed the smaller coaster like rides and even sat in front for the Mini-Runaway Minetrain. Their second favorite ride was the Mine Train. Not the mini, the REG-U-LAR!!!
The water rides were liked and we were able to ride the Log Ride three times.
The girls were able to hug Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird, Porky Pig, Yosimite Sam. They also saw Robin from Batman and Robin. And Wonder Woman, but she probably had more male huggers than the others. She was very well… uh… she was Wonder Woman that had a Wonder Bra.
Porky Pig had his picture take with some grown men who were being silly. While the girls were hugging him, one of them said “Porky is the man.” I replied, mostly to myself, “I think he is a pig.” (I crack myself up sometimes.)
But the craziest of them all? A ride that even makes me scared? The Shock Wave with back to back double looping. Both were tall enough and both agreed to ride it. They enjoyed it except for the loops. Did you hear that? Youngest’s words when it was over “I didn’t like it that much.” No crying. Just a calm statement. Maybe it was the shock. But she did like the other parts. Oldest was pretty much in agreement. So next time we will do more rollercoasters with out upside down loops.
Today was a good day and I will smile when I think about it. I love my girls since they let me be a kid again. They are full of adventure and willing to try the rides. And since I don’t want to bore everyone with the nitty gritty details, I am listing all the rides we took in the extended entry.

(Becky on Jul 6, 2006 10:53 AM) I miss Six Flags Over Texas! I was so afraid of roller coasters and then went on the Texas Giant in college and loved it. I also liked the bobsled ride at that park (don’t remember the name).
Nobody is….
Youngest: You missed part of my thumb when you painted my nails.
Me: Well, nobody is perfect.
Youngest: You are. Sometimes.

Design My Blog
I am currently working on two blog projects and my creative juices are flowing again. Also, this current design will be over a month old and heaven forbid I keep one longer than a month. By the time I finish up my projects, I will be ready to work on mine. So that leads to you!
Give me an idea for my next blog design. You can be as descriptive as “purple with canned food” or as simple as just one word, like “carrots”. Maybe a song or a picture you like.
Leave me a comment on your ideas!

Fun with technology
Today at work we received an email from a co-worker requesting that we do not mention the USA/Ghana Soccer game. He was tivo’ing it and want to be surprised by the outcome. I think he was just asking for trouble.
So I used one of my gmail invites and created an email called USA Soccer (usa.soccer.scores) Then I sent him an email with the subject “Final Score of USA vs Ghanda” It the body of the email I just typed “Sike!”
I heard him from his office when he got the email and could not help laughing. What was even worse? I looked up who they were playing and found out the final score. Luckily I was able to keep it to myself.

Poetry in Music
Which comes first? A beautiful melody or beautiful lyrics? Or do they both work together? I can’t share with you the melody of the song Trampoline by Tony Carey, but I can share the lyrics.
Some people got the midas touch now
Some people are waiting for the train
Some people get blood on their hands
Some people see disneyland now
Some people are candles in the rain
Like a trampoline
Goes up goes down
Out of luck or heaven bound
But we’ve got something and we’ll never touch the ground
On the trampoline
Just me and you
Just a little love will see us through
Hang on to me baby, I’ll be here with you
On the trampoline
Some days are like a leaky boat
Some days are like all she wrote now
Some days I’m so happy I could sing
I won’t tell you ’bout the things I’ve seen
The ups and downs and the inbetweens
I get so low but I know
My bells are gonna ring
It’s a trampoline
We are on a roller coaster
We have made it through this
Baby what we need is mostly
Being sure of what we are
On the trampoline…
Tony Carey is an artist that my husband has introduced me to. I think his most known song is “Fine Fine Day.” One of the advantages of hooking up with an older man. He has different music from his generation. Some of it is actually good. (tehe)

(Notr on Jun 19, 2006 11:44 PM) Always like to discover a new artist like this. Going to his website I was able to listen t o a 5 min cut “In Babaylon.”
Looks like he is pretty much established in Europe. Shame he has not made a bridgehead in the US.
For Aaron
Here are what I came up with so far. These are ideas, not set in stone. Tell me what you like and don’t like about each one…. That will help us refine it to what you end up with. Most of the time people don’t know what they like, but are very sure of what they DON’T! Let me know!
