NO INTERNET!!!!

Saturday we lost power during the “wind” storm. It came back, but our internet did not. We are now in tech support hell.

One More Day

Brain fried. Tired of people not doing their part. Ready to go home tomorrow. Just one more day.

And I am stressing out about tomorrow. Things may not work like we need. Must sleep but fried brain is sizzlin’.

Throw a margarita on your sizzlin’ brain so that it will cool off. Ha, ha, ha!

Cajun Landing

If you are ever in the Alexandria, LA area you MUST eat at Cajun Landing. We found this place by accident, but man-o-man! The cajun bisque was to die for. I got the fried seafood platter with catfish, crab strips, oysters, and shrimp. Yum.

We are seriously considering going back again…… YES! That good!

Yowza… that sounds like heaven on a plate, girl. Next time you’re there, pick me up a take-out plate. :)

THat is one type of food that is really hard to find around here. What I have found is no where near as good as even Razzoo’s in Texas…I can’t imagine how good it is in Louisiana.

Road Trip

I am on the road this week for my first road trip as a Trainer. We are not wasting any time and making a big loop through Lousiana and Texas. We will start out in Dallas, make a stop in Alexandria, LA, then on to the Houston Area. In 3 and a half days. Long days. But we will be home for the weekend.

I am going to miss my family and am getting as much done so they can cruize without me the rest of the week. Blogging may be light.

Have a great and successful trip!

Must. Control. Leading.

Learning to control my “leading” may prove to be more difficult than I think. At my current job I have stepped easily into a leadership role. And co-workers have easily let me. At one point I was a supervisor and managed people. Even though I don’t do that now, I still “manage” people to help me complete tasks I need to do my job. I am not bossy, but generally give guidance and whatever support I can.

It has been easy for me to step up since I realize most people don’t want to lead. They don’t want to make decisions and to be held accountable for their choices. Eh, I don’t have a problem with that. And my way may not be the right way to get it done, but I have found that if you give people a direction they will give you feedback on what will work. Then you are on the right track.

I also have little tolerance for things not getting done. I have high expectations of others, but I also expect the same from myself.

This ease of leadership may not come so easy with the PTA at my girl’s school. Or I need to scope it out a little longer. But I really want to step in and lead. I am itching to do so. And I need to work on my tolerance of things NOT getting done. Bleh.

I have found it more difficult to lead in my volunteer work. You have to be more tolerant of idiots. It’s frustrating…

Happy V-day!
