New Light Over My Sink
My Dad consulted today while I installed a new track light fixture over my kitchen sink. I also had some assistance from my girls.
The main reason I bought it was to eliminate the need for a lamp in the living room. Huh?
Click here for a picture of the fixture.

Was the vehicle a Ford? Maybe it means “Ford Tough.”

I figured that out after a few seconds. That why I thought it would be funny to ask him if his name was Fred.
Debt Management Tips
My husband has always said that you would be better off burning your money instead of buying a lottery ticket. So when I found this I sent it his way. Make sure you read the third item under the Tips section.
He came back with a clip found here.
Is saving money one of those things that are just to good to be true?

Calling all Military Brats
Want to help Leslie with her dissertation? She is asking the following questions of students who attended DoD schools:
1) Why do they do so well on standardized tests compared to their public school counterparts in the States; and
2) Why are racial gaps in test score performance smaller (particularly in the schools overseas).
More details on helping her out here.

Spoiling Movies
A post from Harvey reminds me of a story.
When I was in high school, I went to see “Beaches” without my brother. There is a scene where the lady that died fell off her bed and the cat comes up and sniffs her and sad music plays. But that is not what I told my brother.
I told him that she fell off the bed and died. No one found her for a couple of days and when the cat came to sniff her, she blew up all over the room. Blood and guts and everything. He was surprised and I told him that I was also since it was such a chic movie or something like that.
I must have done a great job of not smiling since almost 6 years later he told me he watched the movie. He was waiting for the chic to blow up all smuggly since he knew about it and others watching it with him didn’t. He was disappointed. And I got a laugh.
