Newest Blog In Town
The girls received cameras from their Granny for Christmas. She came to the same conclusion as I did. The kids cameras are not worth the money. So she bought them low end digital cameras. They were given a “lecture” on care and use.
They have already taken pictures and enjoy it. So to encourage them, I revived a blog I had at Blogger to use as a Photo Blog. They even picked out fake names and approved the color scheme. I toyed with the idea of participating in Project 365. You are to take a picture each day. I think that would be to demanding on all of us, so we will aim for it, but not hold ourselves to it.
So check it out and add us to your blogroll if you are so inclined.

What a great idea Mom! I can’t wait for my grand girl to get a wee bit older so I can do the same thing.

Happy New Year!
I went over and left a comment. I am so bad about blog maintenance, but will bookmark them. This year I need to really get my blog in order… a new years resolution of sorts, I guess.

I just tried to post another comment at your Mom’s. Her blog hates me still. It doesn’t like my URL. When you talk to her today, could you tell her I said Happy New Year? Thanks!

I tried to comment on Bou’s too, but it said that because of all the spam in the comments, comments have been suspended, or something like that. Happy New Year to her too!!!
Oldest's B-day
Oldest turned 8 on the 22nd. We had a small family celebration with sandwiches, cake, ice cream and went to see the movie “Enchanted”. All was good.
Tomorrow is the kid party at Build-A-Bear. We are keeping the group small. A good friends family that has kids both the girls age and two more. Then Oldest picked two friends from school.
Do you think I would be childish to want to make a bear myself? I am such a kid at heart!

Go ahead–build yourself a hear. If you don’t want to, then build me one!
Linked Lyrics – "Crazy Dreams"
An idea from a bygone blogger named Dana. Almost every song I listen to for the first time is considered for this. It has been some time since I found a song that would work.
You dark horse runners
Hairbrush singers, dashboard drummers*
Hello you wild magnolias
Just waiting to bloom
There’s a little bit of all that inside of me and you
Thank God even crazy dreams come true
I stood at the bottom of some walls I thought I couldn’t climb
I felt like Cinderella at the ball just running out of time
So I know how it feels to be afraid
Thank God it’s all gonna slip away
Hold on, hold on
Here’s to you free souls, you firefly chasers
Tree climbers, porch swingers, air guitar players
Here’s to you fearless dancers, shaking walls in your bedrooms
There’s a lot of wonder left inside of me and you
Thank God even crazy dreams come true
Never let a bad day be enough
To go and talk you in to giving up
Sometimes everybody feels like you
Oh, feels like you, just like you
Yeah
I’ve met some go-getters
Some difference makers
Small town heroes, and big chance takers
I’ve met some young hearts with something to prove
Oh, yeah
Here’s to you long shots
You dark horse runners
Hairbrush singers, and dashboard drummers
Here’s to you wild magnolias
Just waiting to bloom
There’s a little bit of all that inside of me and you
Thank God even crazy dreams come true
Thank God even crazy dreams come true
Yeah
*Can you find the “drumming”?

Merry Christmas and Happy new Year.
Merry Christmas to All!!!
Pictures from the girl’s Christmas Show.

For their first song they used tissue boxes wrapped like presents. Then put them over their hands and did motions. Once they were done, they passed them all over to the end of the row and had a little of a jam and a lot of fun.

Panic Attack
My memory works with visualization. I try to picture where something is and then I find it. But tonight as I was sorting gifts, I could not picture where I put my husband’s present. But I could picture myself throwing the bag it came in away.
So I dug through the trash. Four bags. I call that true love.
I guess I did not take a “picture” when I put the gift in the closet. In a bag-blendable spot. Darn it. But thankfully I did find it since it would have not been fun to get the replacement.

… and the real bummer? Your readers are not going to find out what is is before he does!
I even thought it was funny the third time.
A guy at work was walking down the hall and had a funny thought as he passed my office.
No, that is not the joke.
He stopped to tell me that his wife loves to watch Reality shows about little people. And because of these shows the little people are becoming famous and having hip clothing designed for them. The are all decked out and modern. So that makes them metro-knomes.
How do we get that term to catch on?

I was sitting in Starbucks as I read this, and I laughed out loud. People were staring.
Too funny!

The Season that slowly deflated….
The rest of the football season was not very good and not really worth posting. I guess I should have posted anyway, but it is not as fun.
The final straw was losing to A&M. We should not have lost to them and it was an embarasment. Since that game, we have not spoken of the team. We have been on sports media blackout. The season is over for us and we will start fresh next year.

Believe me, I *know* how you feel. We Sooners are still smarting from totally stoopid losses to Colorado and Texas Tech. TEXAS TECH. Oh, for the love of Pete. How humiliating can it be? Unless maybe you’re the Dallas Cowboys and you let the Philadelphia Eagles make you their beyatch.
I think that just about every college football fan in the nation (with the possible exception of the University of Hawaii — wow) has had “one of those seasons” and we’re all ready to put it behind us and start afresh next fall.
New and Improved 12 Days of Christmas
WOW!!!!
From Grunt Doc who got it from Dr. Schwab. Check out more on the group’s website.

Another way to say "Thank You."
During my travels in October, I saw a few soldiers. I felt a strong urge to say thank you and even tried to buy one a book. But it was awkward for us both. From a post on Rofasix’s website, I found a way. I think it will work.
Check out the Gratitude Campaign.

When I posted that I was afraid that a lot of young soldiers wouldn’t ‘get it’. I hope I am wrong. Let me know!!!
