Now we are .0013 points behind from California in the BCS rankings.  California plays Southern Mississippi on Saturday and the results of the game may affect their rankings.  If they go down below Texas, then Texas goes to a BCS Bowl Game.

End of the Season

It seems that football season goes by so fast and then the off season takes forever.  I am going to miss going to the games and being with our friends.  To tide us over, we are going to all get together at one of Texas’s baseball games.  The couple that runs our tailgate also tailgates […]

BCS and Championships, how do they work?

The purpose of this post is to explain how college football championships work and how these workings effect Texas as of Nov. 27, 2004 at 2:00 pm, CST.
College teams are seperated into Divisions, then into Conferences.  Texas is in the IA Division, Big 12 Conference and then the Big 12 is divided into North and South.  […]

Texas beats A&M, 23 to 13

Another stressful game, since A&M was ahead at half time.  Like the last three games, Texas played much better in the second half than the first.  Also during the game, a call was made that no one had ever heard of happening.
Due to a bad snap, Mangum missed his second extra point of the […]

Strengthen The Good Update

Strengthen The Good has not had a charity profiled in awhile, but for a very good reason.  Alan has been working hard to establish STB as a 503/c non-profit charity.   And Alan is even more famous since being profiled by the New York Times!  They even mentioned me in the article. (I am one of […]

Texas beats Kansas, 27 to 23

Another nail biter game.  With 11 seconds left in the game, Kansas was beating us 23 to 20.  Our quarterback ran in for a touchdown.  After a good field goal, the score was 27 to 23.  We barely won.Â
The team was lifeless and not really into playing.  If Kansas was any better we would […]

Texas comes back to beat Oklahoma State, 56-35

The game this week was an unforgettable experience.
Tailgating before was great.  The weather was just right, it was not too crowded, and we had a chance to visit with our friends.
We left to get to the game early to see an F16 flyby to honor Veterans.  In the past they would have 4 planes and […]
